Arts Mildura is a not-for-profit arts organisation. Through community programs, events, workshops, residencies, mentoring and much more we aim to support creatives within our direct community and further across our region. Our creative program spans visual art, performance, music, literature and cultural development. We strive to deliver and develop a range of sustainable programming that reinvests in the well-being of our community and local businesses.

To help us be an even more effective organisation and leader in Arts and Cultural Practice, we are looking for suitably qualified people to join our board.  We would love to hear from you if you understand what it means to balance a creative arts practice with the commercial practicalities of maintaining a livelihood. We are specifically seeking people with the necessary experience and genuine passion to engage directly with people across our diverse community. We seek people who want to see real on-ground impacts for our community through participation in arts and cultural practice. Experience with grant applications, finance, and law, is also welcomed.

Nomination details

To nominate for a position on the board, please email director@artsmildura.org with your relevant qualifications. Please also provide a 100-word statement on your eligibility for the position, vision for the organisation and which current financial member of Arts Mildura will endorse your nomination.
We are specifically seeking a person with the necessary experience to take on the executive role of Treasurer.

Nominations close 9am AEST Tuesday 21 May 2024


The Arts Mildura Board welcome nominations from all members who would like to contribute to a dynamic and creative not-for-profit organisation.  The Board particularly invites individuals who have the following interest or experience:

-       Financial management and experience

-       Not-for-profit law and community organisation experience

Attending and voting at the AGM

Please email your RSVP to director@artsmildura.org with the subject line Attending AGM by Friday 30 May 5pm.

Members will be asked to vote for the 7 vacant Board Director positions at the AGM. Additionally, office-bearing positions for nomination will include:

  • Deputy Chair

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary
